1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how Data-Uni ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you visit https://data-uni.com (the "Site"). Data-Uni is the data controller for this Site, registered in France with its registered office at 47 Rue du Général Leclerc, 78420 Carrières-sur-Seine, France (VAT number 11111111). We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and French data protection law.
2. What Data We Collect
The personal data we collect is:
- Data you send us directly: if you email us via a link on the Site, or submit the contact form on our Contact page, we receive your name, email address, company (if provided), and the content of your message. Contact form submissions are sent directly to our email inbox and are not stored in a separate database.
- Basic technical logs: our hosting provider automatically records standard web server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security, abuse prevention, and operational purposes. We do not use this data to profile or track individual visitors.
- Analytics cookies (only with your consent): if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner shown on the Site, we use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the Site, such as pages viewed and general traffic patterns. Google Analytics sets cookies (e.g.
_ga,_ga_*) that assign your browser a pseudonymous identifier. If you click "Reject", or take no action, these cookies are not set. You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer; your consent also expires automatically after 6 months, at which point we will ask again. Data collected by Google Analytics is processed by Google as our processor, subject to Google's own data processing terms.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the data described above to: respond to your inquiries; discuss and, where relevant, prepare a proposal or contract for our consulting services; maintain the security and proper functioning of the Site; and comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal data on the following legal bases under the GDPR: your consent, given when you choose to email us; our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functional website; and, where applicable, the steps necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you.
5. Who We Share Data With
We do not sell or rent personal data. The Site is hosted on Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, europe-west1), which acts as a data processor and may process technical log data on our behalf under its own data processing terms. We do not share your data with advertisers or other third parties.
6. International Transfers
Our hosting infrastructure is located in the European Union. Where our hosting provider's own subprocessors involve a transfer of data outside the EU/EEA, such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) under the provider's terms.
7. Data Retention
We retain email correspondence only for as long as necessary to handle your inquiry and, if a business relationship follows, for the duration of that relationship plus any period required to meet legal, accounting, or tax obligations. Technical server logs are retained for a limited period per our hosting provider's default retention settings before being deleted.
8. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request erasure of your data; restrict or object to our processing; and request data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at meng@data-uni.com.
9. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we introduce contact forms or new analytics tools on the Site. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. If we make material changes, we will update the Site accordingly.
11. Contact
